We recently celebrated Easter Sunday, the day when Jesus Christ rose from the dead just as he frequently predicted he would. It was the faithful follower Mary Magdalene who was one of the first to encounter the Risen Lord early that morning. This was not an isolated First Century event. I look forward each morning within 10 minutes of rising to have my first sip of coffee as I open my Bible where I soon have an encounter with the Risen Lord. It is an awesome way to start the day and it is open to all. Not every day, but most days, I leave the encounter with a biblical truth that fuels my day. In subsequent blogs, I hope to share these encounters. Going forward, I hope you find value and meaning in Java and Jesus.
